East Ayton Lodge Hotel, Scarborough, Scarborough

The hotel is set in a pretty village surrounded by attractive gardens, offering a relaxing stay near Scarborough, Whitby, and the North Yorkshire Moors. The rooms were decent for a one-night stay, but could have been cleaner. The dining experience was enjoyable with a good variety of choices, although the facilities could improve with a makeover.

The hotel had a lovely touch of putting a bottle of bubbly in our room, but the presence of thick, dusty cobwebs in various corners made me feel uncomfortable. The room location in the courtyard was preferable for me.

My stay at the hotel was pretty good overall. The rooms were nice and had tea and coffee facilities, but they looked a bit worn out. The service was friendly and efficient, although some improvements could be made at breakfast. The location was fantastic, close to local restaurants and attractions in North Yorkshire. Dining options were satisfactory, with a good selection but nothing extraordinary. The facilities were decent, but the atmosphere in the bar was lacking.
